Partnership unifies governance, observability, and AI-readiness across APIs, events, and real-time data flows

SAN FRANCISCO, February 17, 2026Kong Inc., a leading developer of API and AI connectivity technologies, today announced that Solace, the real-time data and agentic AI company, has joined Kong’s Premium Technology Partner Program. Together, Kong and Solace will deliver a unified, governed, and fully observable data fabric for the agentic era enabling teams to manage APIs, events, and AI services through a single control plane.

Modern organizations face mounting pressure to innovate rapidly while enforcing consistent security, governance, and compliance policies across APIs, events, and AI services. Agentic AI systems rely on real-time, contextual data flowing seamlessly across business operations. As APIs and event streams are often managed in siloed systems, governance blind spots are created, slowing deployment cycles and increasing operational risk.

By combining Solace’s real-time data movement with Kong’s API and AI connectivity, teams can now manage and govern APIs, events, Large Language Models (LLM), and MCP servers through a single control plane applying consistent lifecycles, policies, authentication, and access controls across the entire data path. Solace delivers high-performance real-time data movement, event governance, and event-driven agentic AI orchestration. Conversely, Kong provides centralized API management, security enforcement, observability, and AI gateway capabilities through the combination of native protocol gateways in Kong Event Gateway and a REST-like interface in Kong API Gateway. The result is all data interactions from event streams to APIs to AI service calls can be consolidated into one easy-to-manage, fully visible platform.

Event-driven and API-driven architectures are no longer separate concerns,” said Ken Kim, Senior Vice President, Business Development at Kong Inc. “By bringing Kong and Solace together under a unified control plane, customers gain centralized governance, consistent security policies, and end-to-end observability across every data interaction—from REST APIs to streaming events to AI agent calls. This is essential for organizations scaling in the agentic era.”

Realtime data is the lifeblood of modern, agentic AI,” said Shawn McAllister, CPO and CTO at Solace. “Together with Kong, Solace is removing the silos between events, APIs, and AI services that slow down modern organizations, helping to accelerate innovation and empower teams to confidently scale their real-time, AI-ready platforms.”

New solution harnesses Solace’s market-leading real-time data platform to enable enterprises to build and orchestrate robust and reliable single and multi-agent AI applications

AWS re:Invent 2025, Booth # 1570, LAS VEGAS (December 2, 2025) – Solace, the real-time data and agentic AI company, today announced general availability (GA) of Solace Agent Mesh Enterprise, an open agentic AI platform that enables organizations to build, deploy and operate intelligent and well-governed AI-powered applications – from simple single-agent to powerful multi-agent orchestrated solutions – that interact in real-time with enterprise applications and data.

Agentic AI promises greater productivity and increased competitiveness, with a recent industry report indicating it can accelerate business processes by up to 50 percent and reduce low-value work time by up to 40 percent, thanks to autonomous decision-making and continuous learning capabilities. Getting there remains a challenge, however, as organizations struggle to move agentic AI applications from experiments into production, providing access to enterprise applications and data while ensuring security, observability, and trust.

Additionally, IDC states: “Agentic AI will require event-driven data architectures to continuously provide high-quality, relevant, and contextual data products to support the dynamic nature of agentic business activities. Supporting agentic AI at scale demands use of autonomous agents within enterprise intelligence architectures, automating data management, governance, and synthesis functions.” *

Solace Agent Mesh addresses these challenges, providing the capabilities required to create, deploy and manage agentic AI solutions in a secure, governed and scalable way. Built on a proven event-driven platform, Solace Agent Mesh fundamentally transforms how agentic AI systems serve users, respond to business events and integrate with enterprise data, offering:

  • Faster time to innovation: enterprises can rapidly innovate by integrating and orchestrating native and third-party AI agents, enabling faster experimentation, accelerated development, and quicker time-to-market
  • Improved user experience: business users can talk with their data using their preferred user interfaces, with broad access to enterprise applications and data, whether real-time or static knowledge bases
  • Greater scalability and reliability: Solace Agent Mesh uses parallel agent execution and asynchronous communication between all agents, enabling horizontal scaling to production levels while also providing a stronger level of resilience in response to system failures and implementing hot agent upgrades
  • Increased operational efficiency: Solace Agent Mesh’s unique intelligent data management helps minimize LLM costs, while significantly improving performance and accuracy
  • Comprehensive security: strong agent-based access control, SSO, action-level permissions, and user delegated access deliver the critical security, governance and compliance required for AI agent-driven solutions

There are many challenges to overcome in relation to enabling AI agents to take automated actions and there is a case to be made for involving experts in inter-application communication,” said Matt Aslett, Director of Research, Analytics and Data, ISG Research. “Solace is well-placed to address this opportunity with Solace Agent Mesh, which provides the core capabilities required for communication between agents and will enable Solace customers and prospects to build on existing investments in microservices and EDA as they move towards agentic AI.”

The Forrester Wave™: Streaming Data Platforms, Q4 2025 notes: “Solace’s event-driven agents stand out: they help enterprises build responsive, real-time, event-driven applications and enable high-performance streaming for enterprise applications.” **

Secure, Scalable and Enterprise-grade functionality

Solace Agent Mesh was built from the ground up as an open, flexible platform designed to make it easy for enterprises to experiment with single or multi-agent systems to deliver on their agentic AI objectives, from simple uses cases to the most demanding distributed organization-wide production deployments.

Key features include:

  • No-code Agent Builder: both pro-code agent building, as well as an AI-assisted, form-based interface for creating agents without writing code
  • Dynamic Agent Orchestration: Solace Agent Mesh uses an intelligent orchestrator to break down inputs into tasks and assign them to the right agents in real time. It can also follow prescriptive workflows when it is critical to operate in specific ways
  • Connectors: out-of-the-box SQL, API, and MCP connectors provide simple and broad connectivity to enterprise applications and data, both real-time and static knowledge bases
  • Gateways: business users can use their preferred tools such as web chat, Slack or Microsoft Teams to interact with Agent Mesh, as well as set up Agentic Process Automation workflows invoked through events, enterprise application APIs and Webhook
  • Governance and Access Control: gateways serve as controlled entry points into the framework, granting access to the agent ecosystem through different interfaces like events, APIs, web chat, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Solace Agent Mesh offers single sign-on authentication as well as granular authorization and role-based access control, ensuring agents interact with applications and data with the permissions of the requesting user
  • Intelligent Data Management: innovative intelligent data management helps reduce LLM compute costs and avoids hallucinations through in-platform data operations and passing only relevant information to the LLM
  • Full Activity Observability: built-in workflow viewer and real-time observability tools enable comprehensive monitoring and tracking of LLM interactions, agent workflows, and system performance to build system trust and help debug
  • Enterprise-scale Architecture: decoupled, asynchronous orchestration of agents supports efficient parallelization of operations, enabling agentic AI projects to easily scale from Proof-of-Concept to production

Agentic AI has completely changed the face of business, and requires revolutionary solutions to continue to fuel its unprecedented growth. Solace Agent Mesh Enterprise is the net result of a bold vision on how organizations can better harness the power of agentic AI,” said Shawn McAllister, CPO and CTO at Solace. “Organizations can quickly go from experiments to full scale enterprise production with fast development, and secure access to enterprise context, all powered with the proven robustness of an event driven architecture. Ottawa, ON – October 9, 2025 The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) and Solace have announced a partnership to invest in Canada’s future digital infrastructure talent, equipping the country with the specialized workforce required to power sovereign artificial intelligence (AI), cloud services, and the real-time data economy.

As the enterprise integration platform for agentic AI, Solace enables the real-time flow of events data – be it an online purchase, a package that was just shipped, or a sensor reporting a temperature change – connecting systems across cloud, edge and on-premises environments so they can automatically react to things as they happen. This capability is essential for advanced agentic AI systems, which rely on immediate data movement to function effectively.

Canada’s leadership in artificial intelligence depends on the strength of its digital infrastructure and the people who design, manage, and scale it. Yet demand for digital infrastructure professionals is outpacing supply, creating critical bottlenecks for businesses and innovators. ICTC research highlights the need to expand, reskill, and upskill this workforce to close labour shortages, maintain competitiveness, and ensure Canada can fully capitalize on opportunities in AI and other advanced technologies. Without a robust pipeline of infrastructure talent, Canada risks productivity slowdowns, increased costs, and missed opportunities in commercialization and global leadership.

ICTC and Solace have already provided over 140 student work placements since 2022, preparing young professionals with skills in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI application development. Building on this success, the partnership will now see an additional 75 post-secondary students gain invaluable experience at Solace over the next year through ICTC’s Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Digital program. Far more than traditional placements, these opportunities allow students to directly contribute to the systems that underpin Canada’s AI strategy and digital economy. They will acquire in-demand skills in data streaming, systems engineering, and infrastructure security, strengthening Canada’s long-term innovation and commercialization capacity.

Canada’s digital future will be shaped by the strength of its talent,” said Namir Anani, President & CEO of ICTC. “This partnership with Solace is a powerful step toward ensuring our students gain hands-on experience with world-class digital infrastructure technologies, while Canadian businesses access the skills they need to compete globally. Together, we are building the talent pipeline that will drive innovation, resilience, and prosperity in the digital economy.”

Canada’s AI leadership depends on more than just cutting-edge technology, it depends on people. At Solace, we’re proud to work with ICTC to give students hands-on experience with the digital infrastructure that powers intelligent AI applications,” added Sherrie Seward, Chief People Officer at Solace. “These placements are learning opportunities that cannot be replicated in the classroom, giving our future workforce the chance to help shape the systems that will drive Canada’s innovation economy for years to come.”

Hybrid cloud architecture helps U.S. insurance company deliver a more personalized experience for its clients

Ottawa (October 1, 2025) – Solace, the leader in powering real-time, event-driven integration for the agentic world, today announced that Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, the state of Indiana’s largest farm insurer and a top provider of auto and home insurance, has successfully gone live with Solace’s real-time, event-driven integration platform, enabling more efficient operations, faster access to critical data, and improved customer service across the organization’s insurance and membership services.

Founded in 1934, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance has long been a trusted advocate and provider of insurance products for Indiana’s diverse customer base, including farmers, homeowners, drivers and business owners. To remain competitive and meet evolving customer expectations, the organization looked to modernize its digital platforms and streamline how data moved across departments, from underwriting and claims to policy administration and customer service. For instance, the increasing frequency and severity of extreme weather events underlined their need for advanced risk modelling based on real-time information insights.

Working with Solace, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance deployed an event mesh architecture that connects its data centers, cloud services, and third-party systems, ensuring key data such as policy updates, claims status, and customer interactions flow in real-time. This allows the company to break down silos across core systems to support both internal operations and digital initiatives such as its online customer portal and enhanced self-service tools.

As an insurance leader serving auto, home, renters, life, farm and business insurance customers, we recognized that our continued growth and competitiveness required evolving from traditional integration patterns to a modern, event-driven architecture that prioritizes both agility and innovation. We selected Solace as the foundation for our architectural modernization because it provides the event mesh capabilities we need to build decoupled, cloud-based systems while maintaining the reliability our customers expect,” said Jarvis Ka, Director, Enterprise Architecture at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. “Solace has been supportive throughout our early implementation phase, and we’re excited about the potential for real-time data applications and the enhanced developer experience that the Solace Platform will bring to our organization.”

The Solace solution was purchased on a subscription basis from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, which provides financial benefits.

We’re proud to support Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in modernizing their integration architecture to meet the real-time demands of their business,” said Sean Brown, RVP, Americas at Solace. “With an event-driven integration platform in place, they are now well-positioned to evolve their digital services toward commoditized, convenience-focused offerings, helping them best differentiate through local expertise and personalized services.”

Leading European DIY retailer capitalizing on faster access to data and reduced time to market

Frankfurt (September 9, 2025) – Solace, the leader in powering real-time, event-driven integration for the agentic age, today announced that HORNBACH Baumarkt AG (HORNBACH), one of Europe’s largest home improvement retailers, has successfully gone live with Solace’s real-time, event-driven integration platform, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey to deliver a faster, more seamless shopping experience, both online and in-store.

With over 170 stores across Europe, HORNBACH faced the challenge of managing a wide spectrum of distributed systems, keeping inventory accurate and quickly rolling out new services to meet shifting consumer demands. Its legacy Point-of-Sale (POS) system had served its purpose well but lacked the flexibility to provide the advanced insights and speed of change they needed to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.

Working with Solace, HORNBACH deployed multiple event brokers in a poly cloud environment and its physical HORNBACH store locations. This event mesh serves to standardize event-driven architectures within a highly distributed business application landscape, unifying system integration and providing a secure, scalable, and robust mesh to enable close-to-real-time retail. Together with new cloud-based systems, the event mesh ensures critical data events like price updates, product information, and sales data are instantly shared where and when needed, powering smarter and faster in-store and customer experiences such as the HORNBACH omnichannel offering and the customer app.

Solace has been a strategic partner in helping us modernize our technology landscape with a true poly cloud capable Enterprise Event Mesh to meet the real-time demands of today’s retail environment. By moving to an event-driven architecture, we’ve gained the flexibility and speed we need to connect systems across all our stores and digital channels,” said Carsten Müller, Vice-President, Enterprise Architecture at HORNBACH. “This platform is enabling us to access data faster, reduce time to market and continue our commitment to driving innovation at scale.”

By enabling a real-time data flow across systems, HORNBACH is well-positioned today to optimize store efficiencies, better respond to evolving customer expectations, and strengthen their digital expansion.

We’re proud to support Hornbach in transforming their operations with real-time, event-driven integration. The speed and scale of this rollout is impressive and serves as a great example of how a modern integration infrastructure can fuel innovation in retail,” said Vincent Rontani, SVP, Europe at Solace.
